No-Bake Lactation Bites

When it’s warm out, and you’ve got post-partum hormones going bonkers, the last thing you’d probably want to do is bake or cook in a hot kitchen. Am I right? Living in beautiful Southern California, we’re blessed with warm weather just about 360 days out of the year. Just because the weather won’t play nice, doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice your need to munch on delicious lactation treats to help that milk supply! Behold, the No-Bake Lactation Bites.


  • 1 cup oats
  • 1/2 cup ground flax seed (aka flaxmeal)
  • 3 tbs brewer’s yeast
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter or other nut butter
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 cup coconut flakes
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips or other delicious morsels of choice
  • 1 tsp  vanilla

Mix all the ingredients in a bowl, refrigerate for about an hour. Use an ice cream scoop to make balls and store in an air-tight container. Keep refrigerated for freshness!
